What Is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML format for distributing and aggregating Web content. Using RSS, Web content providers such as events.ipfw.edu can create and disseminate events feeds that can keep you updated on upcoming events at IPFW.
How to Use RSS
You can subscribe to events calendar RSS feeds with a program such as a news reader. When event feeds are published or changed, the news reader will automatially retrieve the new information for you.
Subscribing to RSS Feeds
IPFW faculty and staff who have updated to Novell GroupWise 8 can subscribe to events calendar RSS feeds by clicking on the ‘Subscribe to RSS’ link for any given calendar. Events for that calendar will then automatically appear on the individual’s GroupWise calendar.
IPFW students can likewise subscribe to IPFW event feeds through the calendar tool in Gmail.
